On Saturday June 4th, Sub Zero Ice Cream received a Best of State Medal for ice cream. The judges awarded Sub Zero this award based off three criteria: excellence and achievement, innovation and creativity, and contribution to the community. We here at Sub Zero are honored by the recognition and are excited to share the news with our customers. Thanks for supporting us with your appetite.
We hardly want to keep such a wonderful night of food, people and entertainment to ourselves. Members of the Sub Zero team armed themselves with cameras and documented the event so we could take you behind the scenes.
The festivities took place in the Grand Ballroom of the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dressed in black-tie swagger, the founders of Sub Zero Ice Cream, Jerry and Naomi Hancock, fed countless guests ice cream samples during the the reception. Adults dressed in tuxedos and evening gowns watched in awe as fresh batches of ice cream were frozen before their eyes using nothing more than a tank of liquid nitrogen. Most came back for seconds!
After receiving the medals, the recipients went behind the stage to have their pictures taken.
Throughout the event were a number of wonderful performances by Utah musicians, such as violinist Aubree Oliverson and the Caleb Chapman’s Little Big Band.
Good food, good music. What could be better? Again, we’d like to thank all of you for supporting our business through your patronage. We’re so proud to have won the 2011 Best of State Medal for ice cream and couldn’t have done it without you.
No doubt…love that ice cream!!!
Congrats and great job! Keep up the GREAT work!
