patented process produces a sensory snack experience creating ice cream that is fresh,
creamy and dense through its visually engaging process.

“When it comes to finding the right franchise partner to bring Sub Zero’s unique ice

cream experience to locals in Atlanta, we really hit the sweet spot with Sohail,” Jerry
Hancock, president and co-founder of Sub Zero, said in a release. “He is the perfect individual to break the ice in Atlanta to introduce our innovative ice cream concept and offer locals a sweeter
way to enjoy dessert.”

The first Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream shop opened in 2004, after founders Jerry and
Naomi Hancock discovered liquid nitrogen is a safe, unique and cost-effective method
for creating delicious, customizable ice cream products. Utilizing his background in
chemistry, Jerry patented his unique process of freezing ice cream using liquid nitrogen,
and in 2008 began franchising. Following an appearance on NBC’s “Shark Tank” in
2013, Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream was named Forbes’ “10 Best Franchises to Buy
From ‘Shark Tank'” in 2017, with more than 50 franchise locations, including two in China and the soon-to-open first Bahamas location, which is a $50 million center.

Sub Zero’s method of creating ice cream is a distinctly safe culinary process, as the liquid nitrogen is completely evaporated by point- of-sale to customer and never touches the customer’s container as an added safety measure. Sub Zero also requires employees to undergo extensive training on how to prepare the ice cream using the patented process to ensure the best experience for all.

The new Sub Zero location is the third of its kind in Georgia, joining the 60-plus Sub
Zero locations worldwide along with several additional in development.

In addition to the Atlanta location, Sub Zero has plans in place to open several more locations in 2019 in key markets including Texas, northern Florida, Atlanta, Indiana, California, Arizona and Colorado.
