This Friday, St. Pete will have a science-based ice cream shop at 2216 66th St. North.

Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream allows customers to watch their dessert transform from cream to a frozen treat using liquid nitrogen.

Bill Nye-type stuff.

Each menu item has a science-themed named like Chocolate Conduction, Birthday Cake Capacitor, and Peanut Butter Bonds made up of peanut butter ice cream, fudge, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and brownies.

Franchisee Gayle Tulmun shared in a recent statement, “We are incredibly excited to introduce as many people as possible in St. Petersburg to one-of-a-kind sensory ice cream making experience at Sub Zero.”

The concept of freezing ice cream using liquid nitrogen process that Sub Zero utilizes was featured on the TV show Shark Tank in 2013 and has been flourishing ever since.

Now it is time for the ‘Burg to get a taste.
